Overview
The WIEF Young Leaders Network (WYN) was established at the 2nd WIEF in Islamabad, Pakistan in 2006. The urgency to capitalise on the efforts and creativity of young entrepreneurs and professionals was the main factor behind the establishment of the Network. The WYN is a networking hub for young professionals and entrepreneurs to seek business opportunities and to exchange innovative ideas.
WYN initiated the Groom a Leader Scholarship and Internship Programmes during the 3rd WIEF in Kuala Lumpur in 2007. The programmes are aimed at providing scholarship and internship opportunities for young Muslims worldwide.
During the 4th WIEF in Kuwait in 2008, the WYN Cross-Border Mentorship Programme was launched to build a mechanism of peer-to-peer support for young entrepreneurs and professionals.
The WYN also organises the annual WIEF Young Leaders Forum.
