  FOR ROLE PLAYERS ONLY  
1. Who will book my flight ticket? Do I need to book myself or the Goverment of Pakistan will do it for me?
2. If I have purchased my own flight ticket, how will I be reimbursed?
3. How many nights have the Government of Pakistan booked for me in the Marriott Hotel?
4. Where is the exact location of the registration counter for Speakers at the Marriott Hotel?
5. Will there be any speakers' registration counter at the Jinnah Convention Centre?
6. I should be received by a welcoming team at the airport. Where are they going to be waiting?
7. Will a liaison officer be assigned to me in case I need help on any matter pertaining to the Forum?

  FOR ROLE PLAYERS ONLY  
1. Who will book my flight ticket? Do I need to book myself or the Goverment of Pakistan will do it for me?
All participants including role players shall make their own flight arrangement.
2. If I have purchased my own flight ticket, how will I be reimbursed?
If you have booked your flight via PIA, the Government of Pakistan shall reimburse 50% of your cost. Your reimbursement shall be made at Islamabad either at the hotel registration counter or at the Jinnah Convention Centre.
3. How many nights have the Government of Pakistan booked for me in the Marriott Hotel?
The Government of Pakistan shall book your room for the entire duration of the Forum.
4. Where is the exact location of the registration counter for Speakers at the Marriott Hotel?
The registration counter can be located at the vicinity of the reception area on the ground floor.
5. Will there be any speakers' registration counter at the Jinnah Convention Centre?
There will be a general counter for registration at the Jinnah Convention Centre for roleplayers and participants.
6. I should be received by a welcoming team at the airport. Where are they going to be waiting?
As soon as you arrive at the Islamabad airport, you will be received by a delegation from the WIEF coordination team along the main hallway. They will be equipped with signboards with your respective names. The WIEF coordination team shall lead you to your transport to transfer you to the Rawal Lounge in the Islamabad airport where you shall be registered.

Will a liaison officer be assigned to me in case I need help on any matter pertaining to the Forum?
If you are a Head of State, a designated VIP or a role player, a liaison officer and a private car shall be assigned to assist you during the course of your stay in Islamabad.   FOR THE PRESS ONLY  
1. If I wish to cover the 2nd WIEF in Islamabad. What is the procedure I have to go through?
You have to submit your name, your organisation, two passport sized photographs, and a copy of your passport addressed to the External Publicity Wing of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of Pakistan. These documents can be submitted to the Pakistan High Commission in your country.
 
  CONFERENCE VENUE  
1. Will there be any credit card payment facility at the conference venue should I want to pay my conference fee on the day?
Yes, there shall be credit card payment facility either at the designated hotels for registration or at the convention centre.
2. Is there a map/floorplan of the conference venue available? If not, will the building be sufficiently placed with directions and on duty officers to help me get where I want to go?
A floor plan of the convention centre is available. There will also be sufficient number of coordinating officers and direction signboards in the building to facilitate where you want to go.
3. Who is the contact person at the convention centre and what is his contact details?
The coordinating officers at the convention centre can be found in the coordinating officers list. Click here for more detail.
4. I may need to use the internet and print some documents at the convention centre. Will there be such facilities?
The convention centre shall be equipped with resource rooms equipped with internet and print facilities, as well as administrative services.
5. I wish to attend the WIEF Young Entrepreneurs Roundtable or the WIEF Muslim Women Roundtable. When and where will it be held?
Since the places for these two parallel programmes are very limited, please inform Mr. Fazil Irwan via email should you be interested to attend one of these parallel programmes, strictly by 31st October 2006. The sessions shall be held on the 5th November 2006 from 3-5pm at the Serena Hotel. Regular shuttle bus services will be available to Serena Hotel from the hotel where you reside.
 
  REGISTRATION  
1. When will the registration start?
Registration shall be done at the designated hotels to avoid congestion at the conference venue. Registration shall commence on the 4th November at 1000hrs.
2. Will there be any delegate registration counter at the Jinnah Convention Centre?
There will be a general counter for registration at the Jinnah Convention Centre for roleplayers and participants.
3. Will there be any credit card payment facility at the conference venue should I want to pay my conference fee on the day?
Yes, there shall be credit card payment facility either at the designated hotels for registration or at the convention centre.
4. Is there a deadline for registration?
You should register at least a week before the event in order to allow the processing of your application.

6. Where will the delegates' registration counters be?
There will be one 24-hours registration counter at the Islamabad airport, and one registration counter each at the Marriott Hotel and Serena Hotel (Opening hours: 10am-9pm). Delegates who are staying at other hotels can register at Marriott or Serena via the shuttle service. Delegates can also register at the Jinnah Convention Centre from the 6th November onwards.
7. Do I need to submit my photo for registration? And why do I need to do so?
Yes because you will be given ID cards at the Forum, which requires your photo for identification.
8. I have not received any registration form. What can I do to register?

  HOTEL  
1. If I am from Pakistan, is there a hotel allocated for local delegates?
Hotels for local (Pakistani) delegates shall be allocated by the Government of Pakistan. Please contact the person in charge of registration regarding this matter. Click here for more detail.
2. If I am a foreign delegate, which hotel will I be allocated to? Can I decide where to stay?
Your hotel preference will be subject to the availability of rooms. Please indicate your hotel preference in the application form you have received and a coordinating officer from the Government of Pakistan shall inform you of the status in due course.

Yes, you need to make your own flight arrangements.
2. Are there any concession rates on the flight cost?

Yes you need to apply for the Visa yourself.
3. What do I need for the Visa application?
You should complete the Visa application form, attach it with the confirmation letter from ASLI, along with 2 passport sized photographs and bank payment slip. For Malaysian delegates, p lease forward the forms and attachments to Mr. Ashfaq Patti at the Pakistani High Commission. His contact no: 03-2161 4985. Please do not send the application via the Visa counter as the process will be slow. For foreign delegates from other countries, please contact Mr. Ashfaq Patti for a contact person in the Pakistani embassy in your country who will be able to assist your Visa application.
 
  SHUTTLE SERVICE  
1. Will there be a shuttle bus/van service at the airport, hotel and conference venue?
There will be regular shuttle bus services at the airport, hotel and conference venue at the convenience of the Forum delegates.
2. Does this service run regularly or at specifically alloted times?
This shuttle service from the airport to the hotel is frequent whereas the service between the hotel and the convention centre runs at specifically allotted times according to the Forum schedule. Should delegates wish to use the shuttle service outside these allotted times, they need to request from the coordinating officer in charge of transport. Click here for more detail.
